OFT-000 – Corning Optical Fiber Access Tool is used to access fibers in a buffer tube in a mid-span location with or without slack. It is designed to split a buffer tube to expose the fibers inside without damaging them. This tool utilizes blades mounted in two precisely machined grooves to cut the buffer tubes. The smaller groove cuts buffer tubes 2.4-2.6 mm in diameter while the larger groove cuts buffer tubes 2.7-3.1 mm in diameter.
RST-000 Corning Ribbon Splitting Tool – The tool is mainly used for ribbon fibers. Actuator depressed tool slides along a length of the ribbon, separating the length into smaller ribbon counts. The tool has slots to separate the ribbon into the following smaller ribbon counts: 2/2, 2/4, 2/6, 4/4, 2/10, 4/8, 6/6, and 12/12.
UAT3000 – This specialized corning tool is used to cut the buffer tube mid-span without damaging the optical fibers. Simply attach the tool and pull it along the buffer tube to slit the tube safely. It is used to access tubes with diameter 5.0mm – 24.0mm.
MSAT 5 – Mid-Span Fiber Access Tool has 5 convenient built-in sizing channels to quickly determine the proper diameter channel for buffer tubes ranging from 1.6 mm to 3 mm. Locking mechanism ensures tool to remain closed during operation
MSAT 16 – Mid-Span Fiber Access Tool – This tool has 16 unique diameter settings to accommodate loose tubes ranging from 1 mm to 3 mm. Spring-loaded design eliminates need to lock or clamp tool while in use. Fixed stainless steel blades require no adjustments and can replace easily.
